HYROX Men Open Weights and What Each Station Asks of You
By Threshold
Men Open races a 152 kg sled push, a 103 kg sled pull, 24 kg per hand on the farmers carry, a 20 kg sandbag and a 6 kg wall ball thrown 100 times to 3.00 m. Sled weights are totals with the sled included, and Women Pro uses the same loads. Open loads are trained at race weight in every phase.
Weights from the HYROX EN Single Rulebook, Season 26/27, verified 2026-08-01. Rules can change, and the official HYROX site is the final authority.

Men Open sled training rungs
| Rung | Sled push (kg) | Sled pull (kg) |
|---|---|---|
| 65% technique | 100 | 65 |
| Race weight | 152 | 103 |
| 120% overload | 180 | 125 |
Rungs are rounded to 5 kg, the same way the app rounds them. To turn them into plates on your sled, use our HYROX sled weight calculator.
Men Open trains at race weight from day one
Open loads are used at race weight in every phase: there is no midpoint to climb through, so the 152 kg sled and 24 kg bells you race with are the ones you train with from the first week. Progression comes from distance, reps and the sled rungs, not from adding kilograms to the stations.
These are also the loads Women Pro race on, with one difference: the 3.00 m wall ball target here is higher than the women's line.
How to match these loads in your gym
No sled, no kettlebells or no wall ball? The closest substitute the Threshold engine has for each station, matched for time:
| Station | Race load | Closest substitute |
|---|---|---|
| SkiErg | 1,000 m | Row |
| Sled push | 152 kg | Bike, heavy resistance |
| Sled pull | 103 kg | Row, hard pull |
| Burpee broad jumps | 80 m | None needed: bodyweight and floor space |
| Rowing | 1,000 m | SkiErg |
| Farmers carry | 24 kg | Sandbag bear-hug carry |
| Sandbag lunges | 20 kg | DB front-rack walking lunge |
| Wall balls | 6 kg | DB thrusters |
